Nike KD 5 "Ice Blue"

With the release of the KD 5 in the Christmas Pack, the KD 5 is starting to grow on people in terms of being one of the hottest basketball kicks on the market. It has a lot of competition when it comes to competing with its predecessor but it's doing very well so far. The newest colorway of the KD 5 is the "Ice Blue" V. The "Ice Blue" features an icy upper with navy laces,  navy swoosh, and a navy patterned 'KD' logo on the tongue. The sneaker also consists of an orange outsole to top it off. A release date has not been determined yet but expect these in either early 2013 or mid-2013.

Air Jordan 4 "Python" Custom

This has got to be the best custom that we've seen all year. Yes, even better than the "Tiffany" 5's custom. JBF Customs takes the popular BRED 4 model and gives it a SICK leather "snakeskin" pattern for the upper. They also removed the inner lining and replace it with red lambskin accents and a JBF tag/logo on the tongue. These were made for Derrelle Revis as a gift. These are absolutely crazy.

Play Cloths x Saucony Shadow 5000 "Gold"

We caught wind/news of Play Cloths' collaboration with Saucony back around Christmas Eve; but now, we finally have visuals. Play Cloths has decided to take the Shadow 5000 model of Saucony's collection and give it an "All Gold Everything" makeover. Speaking of AGE, Trinidad Jame$ has been spotted sporting these bad boys not too long ago. These were done pretty well in terms of materials and design execution. Stay tuned for more release information.

New Balance 996 Grey/Navy/Red

The 996 has been, low key, doing it big this year for the Lifestyle section of New Balance. A majority of the Lifestyle shoes this year, especially the 996 and 998, have been predominantly suede and mesh. This 996 features the normal suede and mesh but also has something a little new; a hit of leather on the top of the mid-foot. This 996 is a "USA" type colorway with a predominantly grey upper, navy leather hit on the mid-foot, and red accents; very smooth, clean-cut, well done sneaker.

Nike Air Foamposite "Camo"

If you're into fashion, or have been keeping up with our blog for a little while now, you'll see that camouflage has been a very popular color scheme that has been used by various brands. One of the most recent camo inspired piece that you've probably seen are the "Fighter Jet" Foamposites. Shown as a teaser, about 4 months ago and now being seen worn by Rajon Rondo in NBA games, this is definitely not a teaser. Nike is developing another camouflage based sneaker too called the "Army Camo". The Fighter Jet is a more modernized "camo" version; being white, grey, and black on the Foamposite One model. The Army Camo will be made on the Foamposite Pro model and will feature a more traditional camouflage look using the green, tan, dark brown, and black. Expect these pairs to drop sometime in early 2013.

Wale x Folarin (Review)

Wale has been promoting his newest mixtape, "Folarin", for a few weeks now and today is the day. Sponsored by Maybach Music Group and hosted by DJ Clark Kent, Folarin officially released today. We fell in love with Wale's music because he's been doing things that a lot of rappers either aren't doing or are trying to but failing miserably. Wale is able to rap about anything and turn his verses into poetry. Wale's poetic flow has gained a lot of fans over the past few years. Theory 11.1.11. and More About Nothing are some of Wale's best works and this tape, Folarin, falls fairly short of their marks. The flow from Wale is there (in the tape) but his beats were selected VERY poorly selected. The best songs beat wise were definitely "Cool Off", "Street Runner", "Skool Daze", and "The Right One". Some of the features include Hit-Boy, Nipsey Hu$$le, Trinidad Jame$, 2 Chainz, and Jhene Aiko. And even with these heavy hitters on here, the tape still lacks. Overall, we'd give the tape a 6.5/10; classic flow, decent lyrics, mediocre beats. Come on Wale, we know you can do better than this.

Air Jordan 5 "Grape"

This, besides the Maroon 6's and Aqua 8's, is the 2013 confirmation that a majority of Jordan fanatics were waiting for. The Grape 5's will be release next year. Now, with that being said, a lot of people are going to wonder how they will be quality wise compared to past releases. So far, up until the "Cav" 4 release, JB was notorious for crappy leather and below average quality in their release; which is not a good look since they raised the general release prices up by 10 dollars since last year. With the photos of the 2013 Grapes that have been floating around so far, these are looking pretty 50/50. But, we'll let you guys be the judge. Release is set for April 2013.

Nike Air Max "Vintage" Pack

Last year, Nike enticed us with a "Vintage" package that included the "Laser Blue" AM 90, AM 180, Air Max BW, and AM 1. They all were given an "aged" sort of look with oxidized or (yellowed) midsole and faded mesh and suede. This year, the Vintage Pack includes the same sneakers but in a red color scheme. (The theme was blue last year). Expect these to hit select Nike retailers by the end of this year.

Nike Lebron 10 "Prism"

The Nike Lebron 10 has been doing well since it hit the sneaker scene not too long ago. This Lebron 10 features a black Hyperfuse upper with light grey accents. It also consists of a grey and white outlined swoosh and "Prism" inspired detailing on the side panels, tongue decal, and heel counter. A specific release date has not been revealed but expect these to hit shelves within the next few weeks. They will retail for $180.

Joey Bada$$ & The Pro ERA x PEEP: The aPROcalypse

About 4 to 6 days ago, up-and-coming, smooth flowing, 1990's type lyrical monster, Joey Bada$$ announced that he and his counterparts of The Progressive Era were working a new mixtape. With the whole "end of the world, mayan theory" floating around, they thought releasing the tape on the 21st would be just the publicity they needed. The tape dropped at around 6:15pm today and it sounds like a mix of "1999" and "Rejex", some of Joey's earlier pieces. It's safe to say that this tape is pure classic rap. All the members of the ERA go hard. Some of the 6th Men and Unsung heroes on here are definitely Capital Steez, Dessy Hinds, and Kirk Knight. This tape gives us a better chance to hear the whole collaborative and how much skills the team actually has. With a few dope samples such as Common's "The Corner" and another Fugees sample, the beats give a sort of "A Tribe Called Quest" feel to it. Overall, we give this tape a 8.3/10. Very well done.

Fingercroxx x New Balance 580 "FXX"

New Balance continues to bring the heat with their collaborations added to their lifestyle collections. From the Ball and Buck 574's to the Grape 1300's and the SEAL 999s, NB is taking captivating ideas and turning them into gold-mine sneakers. One of the most sought-after NB releases were the West NYC 580's that came out a little while ago. It featured a "Grape" or "New Orleans Hornets" type color scheme that became very popular. Now, Fingercroxx is teaming up with New Balance for a new release. They will be taking the same model in the 580 and giving it a pretty remarkable makeover. If you are into fashion, then you'll know that camouflage is IN right now, so this release is no different. The upper features a predominantly tan/khaki and brown upper with camouflage hits on the laces and accents. Also, some hints of lime green are behind the logo and on the ROLLBAR technology in the midsole. Expect these to hit selected retailers on New Year's Day.

Nike Basketball "Christmas" Pack 2012.

Nike basketball always goes above and beyond for Christmas so people weren't surprised to see their annual line up for this year. Respectively, the pack will include the Lebron 10, Kobe 8, and KD 5, ALL in their Christmas version of their color schemes. They all will be released on December 26th; the Lebron 10's retailing for $180, the Kobe 8 for $150, and the KD 5 for $115. Keep a heads-up for these, they Will be going off the shelves pretty quickly.

Ball and Buck x New Balance 574 "Mountain Green"

If you are a fan of New Balance or Ball and Buck, or a hypebeast, then you should remember New Balances most recent collaboration with Ball and Buck. They used a 574 and featured a predominantly grey upper with a hit of orange on the heel counter with brown camouflage for the accents. The shoe's release was very successful so B&B and NB are teaming up again to release a, sort of, inverse of its predecessor. It will feature the same as the original but the predominant color will be green, instead of grey. Expect these to be released in limited quantities on January 29, 2013.

Air Jordan 1 "Knicks"

The Knicks have been making WAVES in the NBA this season; becoming arguably the best team in the league right now. In 2013, JB is planning to release a good amount of Retro 1's so a New York Knick color scheme will be added to the line up. The retro consists of a white midsole, orange outsole, and classic Knick colors for the upper. These will drop on January 5, 2013 and will retail for $140.

Nike SB Blazer "Khaki"

Nike Skateboarding is back with a new Blazer release. This mid-top Blazer features a khaki-colored upper with a black swoosh and a white midsole. The upper also has a touch of mesh with a stitched "Nike" logo on it. Expect these to hit Nike SB retailers in the very near future.

New Balance 574 "Pink Devil" (Custom)

We haven't done a post about a custom in a VERY long time so we feel like you guys are overdue for one. If you are familiar with Saucony, then I'm sure you've seen their last collaboration with Solebox called the "Pink Devil". The shoe features a black premium leather upper and a solid pink suede toe box; the shoe is beautiful. P.K. Zuniga decided to take a popular New Balance 574 model and give it the Pink Devil makeover. This custom was really well done and looks better than it's original influence. Too bad we'll never see these on the shelves.

Nike Air Penny 5 "Sunburst"

With the Air Penny 5 taking the sneaker game by storm, it's starting to establish it's place as one of the games new contenders to us, the consumers. Successful past releases have been the "Miami Dolphin", "Phoenix Suns", "Orlando Magic", and "Red Eagle" Penny 5. Now another colorway has crossed the horizon. This Penny 5 features a bright crimson upper and black midsole. Release information is limited but we'll keep you guys posted.

Air Jordan 4 "Thunder & Air Jordan 11 "Bred" (IMPORTANT RELEASE INFO.)

AS WE ALL KNOW, The Bred 11's, ever since last year, have been on everyone's "Must Cop" radar. Once 2012 got here, it was the highest anticipated release of the year .... even bigger than the Yeezy 2's. The news of the Thunder 4's being released again caused a huge disturbance as well. But one of the worse things JB could've done was move the Thunder 4 release from November to the day AFTER the Bred 11's release. (That's ASKING for a nationwide riot). But now that the releases are back to back, JB is trying to avoid riots and violence by creating a ticket system. "In partnership with mall management, participating stores will be implementing ticket procedures* beginning on Sunday, December 16th." Also, not everywhere will have these 2 releases. Reebok Question Mid "Black/Metallic Gold"

We finally have confirmation of a release for the Black and Metallic Gold colorway of the Reebok Question. The shoe features an all black upper with tumbled leather on a majority of the upper with an all black patent leather toe box and heel counter. The shoe also features hits of golden accents on the logo and honeycomb pattern in the midsole. These are set to release on December 29th and retail for $125.

Nike Air Way Up 2013 preview

Nike has been doing their thing over the last year or so with the return of all these classic 1990's basketball shoes. From the Air Force 180 to the Air Pippen's, Nike has been providing our ol' head sneakerheads with a bit of reminiscing material. Now, Nike is planning to retro the Nike Air Way Up next year in 2013. Us here at OT weren't old enough to remember these so to us, they look like Air Penny 1's. But anyways, they are featured to be retroed in 3 different colorways; a red/white, deep patterned blue/white, and a turquoise/white.

The Game x Jesus Piece

BEEF, drama, and controversy are things that Game has made his career around. Game is known for causing all types of havoc around the Hip Hop world. So it came to nobody's surprise when people lashed out against him for his album artwork for "Jesus Piece" (Google it). But, let's get to the music. Jesus Piece was released today and consists of features such as Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, Yeezy, Common, Young Jeezy, and Fabolous. The 2 singles "Holy Water" and "Judas Closet" didn't make the album for some reason, but from trusted sources, we're hearing that this album is one of Game's best. Air Jordan 13 "Squadron Blue"

This Retro 13 is one of few 13's that JB will be releasing next year. The Air Jordan 13 features a classic combination of tumbled leather, holographic, and ballistic nylon materials. This specific retro will have a predominantly navy blue upper with yellow accents. Somethin' like a Golden State Warriors feel. Be on the lookout for these to drop on February 9, 2013.
