Derrick Rose strikes gold.

Endorsement deals for athletes are extremely common. Kobe Byrant and Lebron James with Nike, Mikey Powell and Chazz Woodson with New Balance & Brine etc. One of the well known endorsement partners are Derrick Rose and Adidas. Adidas has always been in competition with Nike for sneaker sales all over the world and signed D-Rose as a way to win some of the people over. They plan on supporting Rose for a long time since they just signed him for a 14 year deal worth 250 Million Dollars. I remember in an interview, Rose said "I'm not gonna say I made it until my family and mother can be happy." (Not his EXACT words). But now, I believe he can say that he has made it. Congratulations Mr. Rose.

Lil' Wayne tells plans of for his first signature sneaker.

Everybody knows about Kanye West and his sneaker, (the Nike Air Yeezy) and how much hype and value they hold. Now Lil' Wayne feels that he's ready to release a sneaker of his own. He plans to release a shoe in collaboration with a "very well-known company". He didn't reveal any design ideas or any hints as to who he will be working with company wise. But one thing is for sure; With his style and "fresh" ideas NOW, we'll surely be seeing something ... interesting.

Ronnie Fieg x Asics GT 2 "Rose Gold"

The Asics Gel Lyte series is a low-key, under-the-radar sneaker that is slowly but surely catching the eyes of many sneaker enthusiasts. From the "Salmon Toes" to the "Leatherbacks", The Asics Gel Lytes are becoming popular. Ronnie Fieg is now bringing another Asics release to the people. These are a design of the Asics GT and they come in a Light Red/Pink, silver, and white colorway. They are set to release on March 2, 2012 for $130.

Air Jordan 6/7 "Gold Medal Pack" (UPDATE).

Previously, I posted an entry about a Air Jordan package that is in the making. The "Gold Medal" pack is a Jordan 6 and Jordan 7 package that is set to release this summer in commemoration to the Summer Olympics. When I first posted the info., they were still drawings and ideas. But now, they has finally been some samples made.

Air Jordan 6 "Marina Blue" (GS)

Over the last few years, JB has been trying to get creative with their Grade School (GS) releases. The last time they dropped a creative GS retro 6 were the "Coral Pink" 6's that featured a black, pink, and white upper. The new GS' they're working on a named the "Marina Blue" 6's; they are featuring an all black upper and multicolored midsole with mixes of pink and blue. They are just samples for now so a release date is still being decided.

Air Jordan 4 "NY Knicks"

There are a lot of retro 4's that are being released this year. For example, the White Cement 4's and the "Mars Blackmon" 4's. Now we have another "Team Exclusive"/"Team Themed" retro 4's that is on the horizon. These 4's will be a first time retro and are designed after the New York Knicks. Surrounded in black, blue, and orange, these are sure to be picked up quickly. Due to Jeremy Lin, these should fly off the shelves fast. A release date is still unheard of yet.

Big K.R.I.T. x 4 Eva and a Day

Like a previous post of mine, I wrote about an upcoming work and song by Big K.R.I.T. The mixtape being worked on is called "4eva And a Day". A release date has finally been confirmed, March 5th. It was originally set to release on February 20th but the tape got pushed back. This is going to be some very special music.

Air Jordan 11 "University Blue" (Sample)

Looks like we got another sample on the horizon. The previous sample of the Jordan retro 11 was an all black colorway so these should be an instant LOVE of any 11 lover. As you sneakerheads may have already heard, the Columbia 11's (like already known) have been confirmed to release on December 23, 2012. These are basically an inverse sample of the Columbia's. These are called the University Blue 11's. These look EXTREMELY similar the the 11's from the Pantone 284 Collection that was showcased a few years ago. I'm in love with these.

Nike Zoom Rookie LWP "Dynamic Blue"

Releasing this weekend in a dynamic blue colorway, the Penny hybrid rocks a blue Foamposite shell upper alongside grey nubuck and mesh, as well as a hit of grey on the pods, a carbon fiber shank and an icy outsole. These released today and are in Nike accounted stores all over.

Air Jordan 11 "Blackout" (Sample)

In the past, there has been a huge wave of different customs thrown our way in the sneaker game. As of my time off lately, I've been noticing a lot of SAMPLES now instead of the usual customs. This sample will make you think twice about the possible colorways of a very popular Jordan retro. These are the Air Jordan 11's with an all black everything colorway; even down to the icy sole. With the eccentric colorway, they were dubbed "Blackout" 11's. (These are just samples so releases are still being conversed.)

Today is the birthday of my business partner in crime, Marcus Chery. He's college bound this year and we're both one step closer to making Overtime a reality. We started out as kids with a dream but now we making it happen. Once he graduates this year, be on the look out for more material coming from BOTH of us. Salute to you my G ! Happy Earthstrong.

Big K.R.I.T. x "Boobie Miles" x 4 Eva and a Day

First track featured off the mixtape, 4 Eva and a Day. If the mixtape is more like this track, then I'm VERY excited for it. Big K.R.I.T. is set to release this on February 20, 2012.

Air Jordan 5 "Metallic" (Custom)

We all know about the classic Retro, Jordan Metallic 5's. They come with that great suede upper with the black and silver colors surrounding the whole shoe. Proof Culture decided to take a new approach to them in their project called "The REAL Metallics". They took a pair of  2011 Metallic 5's and turned the suede "inside out". They didn't literally change the material, they just switched the colors. They turned the black suede into a metallic silver; giving the Metallic 5's a, true to name, Metallic look. Very well done Proof Culture.

Nike Kobe VII "Wolf"

Now that the "Ink" Kobe 7's have been surfaced, Nike is bringing us another pair of Kobe 7's that are on the horizon. These come with the traditional materials and design that the Kobe 7's usually come in; they just have a new colorway. These consist of a black midsole and heel counter with a predominantly 'wolf' grey upper and yellow Nike swoosh. A Mamba logo, embroidered wolf emblem, and Kobe Bryant signature also are on the heel; These are a piece of the Predator Pack coming out soon.

Nike Basketball 2012 Black History Month Pack. (Update)

I have a previous post relating to the Black History Month Pack by Nike. This entry post is a sequel to that post. The designs of the Kobe 7, KD 4, and Lebron 9 have been determined and surfaced. All of these are set to release on February 11, 2012.

Air Jordan 4 "Military" Release info.

Along with the laundry list of retros coming out this year, including the CDP Black Cement 4's, the Military 4's are also releasing this year. The last time these were retroed, I was in 7th grade so it was about 2006. The Military 4's are set to release June 9th and will retail for $160.

Nike Air Foamposite "Galaxy" UPDATE.

The controversial Galaxy foamposites have received a new make-over. They went from an eccentric array of galaxy colors to a solid milky way star-filled sky type of colorway. Either way, these are absolutely immaculate. I loved the previous design/sample but these are great as well. The only downside to the design change is that more people are going to want them now ... and they're quickstriking. Sigh, let the games begin.

Breaking News: Air Jordan 4 "Black Cements" set to release in 2012.

THIS JUST IN. JB is informing us of another lucrative release. Along with the great news of the Midnight Olympic 6's and Raptor 7's releasing this year, we have another retro to add to the list. They have confirmed that the Black Cement 4's will be releasing at the end of the year in Fall 2012. The last time we saw these released was in a Countdown pack with the 19's a few years back. I, personally, am very excited for these.

Air Jordan 6 "Freddy Krueger" (Custom)

Looks like we got another custom on deck. This one is not too different from the rest: original Jordan retro 6 for the base with unique and crazy color designs for the rest of it. El Cappy is the mastermind behind this custom. He took a Jordan 6 and put a horrific spin on it. Took the retro and threw a Freddy Krueger theme to it. The last time I saw something like this was a pair of Nike SB's dubbed the "Freddy Kruegers" (which was a very successful release for Nike).
